Markets.com Review

trading platform graphicMarkets.com, founded in 2006 is headquartered in Cyprus, and is owned and operated by SafeCap Invesments Limited. It is regulated by the Cypriot body CySec, along with the UK’s FSA. Markets.com is not available to U.S. customers.

Platforms

Clients of Markets.com can choose between four separate trading platforms regardless of account type:

The MetaTrader (MT4) which is the industry’s most popular platform; the Markets.com Trader which is a downloadable, Windows-based platform that is easy to install and operate; Markets.com Java Trader is for traders who may not always be at home while accessing the markets and can benefit from the excellent security features of a JAVA-based platform;  and the Markets.com’s Practice Trader or demo account which allows beginner traders to trade in a live account with virtual funds.

In addition, the Markets.com Mobile Trader is an application designed specifically for the iPhone and other mobile devices.

Accounts

There are several accounts to choose from at Markets.com. The minimum initial deposit requirement is $100 and that includes a welcome bonus of $50, with a ceiling of $2,499. Markets.com provides a welcome bonus of up to $250 to each new client opening a mini account.

The minimum deposit requirement for a standard account is $2,500. Traders in this account receive free access to the “News to Mobile” service of the firm and are also granted a welcome bonus of up to $2,000 which can be withdrawn after trading volume reaches a predetermined level.

Traders who wish to open an account with an initial deposit of $20,000 or more will be eligible for the benefits of a VIP account. Apart from the welcome bonus, owners of a VIP account receive full access to the News to Mobile service, along with free FX Signals via SMS.

Markets.com offers a standard leverage up to 200:1. There are also various additional options for corporate clients.

Features

Markets.com’s accepts deposits via credit or debit card as well as wire transfers for both deposits and withdrawals, and is also open to various local transfer options.

Markets.com’s customer support is one of the best in the industry with employees answering calls 24 hours a day during the week in multiple languages. There are over 25 local phone numbers from different countries, various e-mail addresses to different departments and a live Chat.

All  in all I found Markets.com to be a secure and reliable broker with standard features and a user-friendly and educational website. The fact that it is regulated by two separate and credible EU authorities makes it a good choice for Forex traders seeking reliability and safety.

  1. Very interesting. Who do you think would be best suited to use markets.com?

  2. Interesting, I’ve never heard of these folks before, even though they’ve been around since 2006. It sounds like there are fairly substantial sign-up bonuses.
